  1. This 4.5-minute video gives a great explanation about the new use of AI assistance to improve efficiency of planning drives by the NASA Perseverance rover on Mars. The Mars Guy YouTube channel has excellent informative videos every week. #MarsGuy #NASA #JPL #Mars

  2. Heavy metal from space, Episode 243 #MarsGuy

"Perseverance has gone for more than four years without encountering what three previous rovers have found on Mars: rocks not from Mars. Now it too may have found a chunk of iron left over from a world destroyed while the Solar System was still young."

  3. Mars Cleans Perseverance and Erases Its Work:
    Mars Guy - Episode 222.
Perseverance is a robotic field geologist observing the aftermath of events that occurred millions to billions of years ago. But it's also a witness to events happening today that have shaped the surface of Mars across geologic time.

  4. Curiosity spots distant honeycombs.

    Mars Guy: Episode 221.

The Curiosity rover carries a small telescope that can provide close-up views of places it will never reach. Recently its color camera viewed distant layered rocks that look interesting, but through its telescope they’re truly anomalous.

  5. The new video by looks back at the last couple of flights from and explores how the rotor accident may have happened.

  6. Just two sols later, the rover encountered an issue with its AutoNAV software which likely got confused by the abundance of large boulders.
It drove around rather chaotically before coming to a stop.

Here is a panorama with all the wheel tracks:

also just made an episode about this, using a few of my processed images.
If you want an explanation about what happened, give the video a watch:

  7. The new episode offers a likely (non biological) explanation of the circular features that Perseverance recently spotted.

  8. If you want to learn more about this flight, look no further than this video which I also uses my processed videos: youtu.be/GIABf416dBQ

  9. Awesome new episode about the record breaking Flight 59!
I may be biased though, because I processed the images for this one :)

  10. New video about the Perseverance Rover arriving at the Margin Carbonate Unit. These videos always do a great job in comparing Martian and Terrestrial geology!
You may also spot a few of my recently processed panoramas in the video 😎

  11. Ripples and megaripples, not sand dunes!

A great video by Mars Guy explaining sand dunes and ripples, and especially "megaripples", the kind of formation is presently examining. The surface of this megaripple contains poorly sorted pebbles and grains that are larger than the regolith underneath it, making it an "armored" megaripple.
