#Perseverance looking back at a crater it avoided several sols ago. Map made with #QGIS.
North is at the bottom.
Processed, leveled, cropped MCZ_RIGHT, FL: 110mm
looking S (178°) from RMC 91.0606

That would have been the first crater to be closely examined by #Perseverance, but apparently it wasn't meant to be. Before even the digital ink in which my post was writen was dry, the rover moved once again, and is now past that little crater.

On the go again, but no idea where to.
#Perseverance's new location
Sol: 1941, RMC: 90.3664
The path shown is a guess. Your guess would be as good as mine.Map drawn with #opensource #QGIS using data from #NASA's #MMGIS, along with data and imagery from #HiRISE and #USGS

#Perseverance is still turning in circles west of Lac De Charmes. Although ¹IANAG™, I suspect the geologists in its team are trying to establish what the conditions were in that area *before* it got hit by the Jazero metor that created the 45km crater.

Making a place look confusingly familiar (and somewhat abandoned) doesn't have to go to extremes 😀
Influenced by Ray Bradbury's, #TheMartianChronicles.
