  3. New sol, new location, new site number 91. Relative to site coordinates x, y, z are reset to zero, so this is mostly guesswork.

    That interface between smooth and rocky terrain ahead may be it. The destination.

  4. @PaulHammond51 reminds me that today is the 5th anniversary of #Perseverance landing on the surface of #Mars, hanging under the #SkyCrane as seen in this #OutOfThisWorld image it captured the moment the umbilical cord connecting them was cut, and the Sky Crane veered off to a heroic crash about 900m NW.

  8. #Perseverance's 5th campaign, named Northern Rim, on the map (comes out being about 9km from Lookout Hill to Singing Canyon).

    Now, if you call this part of *western* Jezero Crater 'northern', then it follows that there will also be a *southern* rim campaign in the future 😎
