  4. More of those #JezeroBrightRocks in the vicinity of #Perseverance. This one is seen through the SUPERCAM instrument. Shown in a red ellipse in the context image.

  5. Intriguing light colors and texture of a little rock seen by #Perseverance's WATSON instrument, at site 91. Reminds me of that other one, seen at RMC 52.4312 on Sol 1164, more than two years ago:

  6. The Interface

(IANAG™, so please forgive my naming habits 🙃)

Where #Perseverance may have been driving to.

  7. New sol, new location, new site number 91. Relative to site coordinates x, y, z are reset to zero, so this is mostly guesswork.

That interface between smooth and rocky terrain ahead may be it. The destination.

Map made with #QGIS using #NASA's #MMGIS data and imagery and DTMs from #HiRISE and #USGS.

  8. Hm… 🤔
I suspect #Perseverance is going to examine that apparently recent (geologically) crater seen in the map and in the NAVCAM image below (FOV in green). Where else could it be going, given tosol's drive?

    Processed, undistorted, leveled NAVCAM_RIGHT
looking NE (34°) from RMC 90.5108

  9. Animation of HELI_NAV images captured during flight 17 of #Ingenuity (Dec 5, 2021).

Processed, undistorted and stabilized, they give a dramatic impression of the regolith megaripple environment of an area called Seitah, where the #MarsHelicopter spent a year flying and scouting for the rover #Perseverance.

Of course the heli's shadow is an eye catcher, but if you look at the rest of the frame you may see some megaripples take the shape of strange creatures 😨

  12. On the go again, but no idea where to.

    #Perseverance's new location
    Sol: 1941, RMC: 90.3664
The path shown is a guess. Your guess would be as good as mine.

  13. Still not sure it moved on toward a new area, or it's going back to that swarm of previous sites 85, 86 and 87.

New location: RMC 90.2288, on Sol 1940. The path is guessed.

  16. #Perseverance is still turning in circles west of Lac De Charmes. Although ¹IANAG™, I suspect the geologists in its team are trying to establish what the conditions were in that area *before* it got hit by the Jazero metor that created the 45km crater.

  18. Coyote sent word he's coming to Jezero Crater in one of his boulder cars. #Perseverance is doing its best to break his invisibility cloak and see him approaching … 🙃
