  6. Added highlights and tested with some other models. It works well for organic shapes but is still too crisp for hard surface objects.The other two models are also missing the hand drawn grease pencil lines for wear.

  7. With the new #malt3d setup, I can adjust highlights independent of my main lighting, and make different light groups only affect certain materials. It's possible to put up as many lights as needed for a given shot without having to worry about how it affects the rest of the scene.

    There's some tweaking I still need to do, but overall it's gonna save me some time in the end.

  9. New year, new shader.

    Last year I was using a basic #malt3d shader, and was frustrated that it just looked bad sometimes, like in closeups.

    I'm working on keeping as much procedural as I can, and also making use of light groups so that I can tweak lighting when needed.

    I don't feel like the running animation comes across very clearly, so I'm going to be working on improving my understanding of animation concepts. If anybody has any suggestions as to what to focus on, or material to read/watch, please let me know.
