@pdbrooker the photo of the breadboard is (as you noted) a bit tricky to follow to check.
If you haven't cracked it by Thursday you should bring it to #MakerNight at @DoESLiverpool
We'd be able to check your circuit pretty easily in person, and the bench power supply would let you try 12V (or more) to it to see if that's the issue; and we've got a 'scope if you need to get really into the weeds with it.

So the Enigma machine that was meant to visit @DoESLiverpool the other month turned out to live up to its name and failed to make an appearance.

Happened upon this #ThrowbackThursday picture, from one of the first #MakerNight sessions, back in February 2011!
It shows @DoESLiverpool's first 3D printer, although it's hard to spot as it's still just a collection of laser-cut wooden panels and other parts at that point 😀

You should come along to @lpoolmakefest on 5th July - Central Library will be filled with all manner of interesting makers, including us
(You're also welcome to come visit @DoESLiverpool too - #MakerNight on Thurs eves is our open evening. Though Leigh Hackspace or Hacman might be more convenient?)

🚆 One of the regulars at @DoESLiverpool #MakerNight last night was cleaning up some model railway engines and had some track with him.
It was handy, because I'd been into my parents' loft to dig out my old Class 37 loco to give him (he's a huge Class 37 fan).
Here's a clip of it getting its first run in 30-odd years 😁
