Dose-finding study of rituximab, lenalidomide, and ibrutinib (R2I) in relapsed/refractory mantle cell #lymphoma

Gives hope, but be aware there are many issues (too numerous to mention in a toot) with small single-arm studies, such as how many were relapsed versus refractory, and Quality of Life while on continuous treatment. Let's hope the study team confirms with a larger controlled study.

@thewritertype for me it’s funny because it’s totally true, I fought a cancer battle this year and came out ahead. I’m convinced that epic naps were a significant force in my arsenal complementing the chemo. Along with my sidekick Ruffers. People would call to check in on me and I would reply “meh I’m just laying around here on the couch fighting cancer” 🥲

Placebo alone is very rarely used as a control in cancer trials (only when watchful waiting is also appropriate).

But it's not uncommon for a cancer study to compare A+B versus A+placebo - when there's *genuine uncertainty* about which intervention is better (equipoise); and when A alone is a standard of care.
