To my big surprise the disks in my big box copy of „Laura Bow in The Dagger of Amon Ra“ still work fine! They installed to the hard disk without issues. I never played this game before, so maybe this is something we can do in the future…?

Good morning! I just uploaded 3.5 and 5.25 inch floppy disks of "The Colonel's Bequest" to The Internet Archive. Pristine disk images, RAW streams and beautiful 300dpi scans of all 14 disks.
The Colonel's Bequest is a character-driven graphic adventure game by Sierra On-Line featuring the character of Laura Bow. It was released for MS-DOS in 1989.

Why do I like adventure games so much?
It's partly because at the time when I discovered this genre, it was the only one to offer strong, independent female characters who owed their salvation only to their intelligence.

So, it's a double whammy.
We're going to finish the "Good Ending" of The Dagger of Amon Ra, AND see if we can finish Infocom's H2G2 this evening. Aiming to start at 1945 BST.
It's going to involve a hilarious hardware quick-change in the middle that will absolutely NOT GO WRONG.
Would love to see some of you there.
