  3. #LANCache doing heavy lifting.
Allows for 40 MByte/s updates, while the WAN provides at best 5 MByte/s.

  5. Now that I have my #LANCache running … I can #UUPDump the hell out of each and every #Windows build.
Don't need to fetch all updates fresh from Microsofts update servers, but just reuse what's already in the cache. Nice.

  6. Currently at the LAN-party I helped organize, the part that I was responsible for was networking, servers, monitoring - all the fun stuff

Everything works great, #lancache server servers 1TB/hour, #opnsense router serves 200GB/hour.
Consoles works, Windows-gamin PCs works, both Linux-battlestations works.

    What a great day!

  11. Install Times? The joy of having a 10Gb client network, and a 25Gb SAN / NAS backbone. Running Lancache on Proxmox HA cluster, with iSCSI LUNs running from a Synology SA320D. Now just need to get 25Gb to the workstations..... #homelab #networking #gaming #lancache #steam #baldursgate3

  15. @selea My #lancache server for the next sparvlan.se/ does have a 10 gig nic... but also a failed drive.

I should solve that... somehow... I'm not sure what the cheapest or best way to go is though.

But I have a bit of time to figure it out 🙂

  20. The #lancache is reliably pushing files in 10Gbit for a few minutes - then drops off. Looks like the nvme drives is throttling
