KoalaSync got optional host-managed controls 🎉
Hosts can now decide who may control play/pause/seek in a room, and promote specific peers if needed.
Guests without control can still pause/play locally, but won’t affect everyone else. If they desync, KoalaSync shows a warning and lets them resync.

I know that’s tiny compared to big extensions, but for a free open-source watch party tool I originally built for my own Emby movie nights, this honestly feels really cool.

KoalaSync v2.4.0 is now live on Chrome &FireFox🎉
The biggest change: lazy connect.
KoalaSync no longer keeps a WebSocket connection open all the time. It now only connects to the relay server when you actually use it for a watch party.
Smaller footprint, less idle server load.
I also applied for the Chrome Web Store Featured badge today.

KoalaSync v2.3.0 is ready — now I’m just waiting for Chrome to approve the update.
This one should make the first-time experience much nicer:
• redesigned interactive onboarding
• easier room joining
• automatic switch to the Sync tab when needed

Just pushed a solid update to the KoalaSync landing page (https://sync.koalastuff.net). I've added a much-needed FAQ section, and the whole site is now available in 6 languages.
Work on the extension v2.0 is also underway, with the main goal being full localization for the extension UI itself. Meanwhile, still waiting on the Chrome Web Store to finally process the 1.8.10 update...
