Maybe I should buy an Xbox Series X. But the reason for that is kinda ridiculous.
I bought a used Xbox One X in 2020, mainly for playing Red Dead Redemption 2. I used it for playing a variety of games but recently I almost exclusively used it for playing Killing Floor 2.
I have a weird relationship with that game. I played Killing Floor 1 on PC a bunch when it was i a humble bundle. I really liked the gameplay loop despite not being into the bodyhorror/horror genre. When KF2 came out I bought it also on Steam/PC but did not really get into it (Played about 14 hours). But weirdly I bought it on Xbox on a whim and really really played a lot. Current playtime is 388 hours, in comparison my highest playtime on Steam is almost 196 hours with Skyrim. Sometimes these very repetitive games just click for me but that is a very rare occasion.
So Killing Floor 3 will be coming out next month and now I kinda want to play it on console too. I know it is kinda weird to want to play those PC focused FPS on a console but I want a similar experience with KF3 as with KF2. So my options are a PS5 or a Xbox Series X. I also want to try Starfield sometime and definitely want to play the next Elder Scrolls (witch I suspect will be coming out primarily for Xbox, whatever that will be in the future.) I know I could play them via Steam but I kinda want that console feel for them. Maybe this is a weird reason to pay so much money for that console if I decide but buy one? There's a "sale" for refurbished consoles from Microsoft right now and the low low price is 469,99 €; lol.
