here's my most anticipated Kickstarter this year: “Shiki” by Richert Karuta, a reimagined deck of cards with elements and designs from Japanese #hanafuda and other types of #karuta. The construction of the deck is very traditional with extreme curvature on the cross section and a very snappy sound when thrown onto the playing surface! The #riso printing nicely imitates traditional hand-coloured cards.

Frisch auf #Japanisch gelesen habe ich übrigens diese Romanadaption zum #DetektivConan Film "Der purpurrote Liebesbrief" (から紅のラブレター).
Der Fall dreht sich diesmal um ein #Karuta Tournier in Osaka und Kyoto - es wird ebenso dramatisch wie romatisch ❤️
Ich hatte unterschätzt, wie schwierig das Buch sein würde! An die komplexen Tatortbeschreibungen und Wortspiele hatte ich mich fast schon gewöhnt, aber dann gab's diesmal auch noch Kansai Dialekt und altjapanische Lyrik mit drin 😅
