  1. “Giant leap:” Australia’s first offshore wind auction goes live as state seeks first 2 GW of projects
    reneweconomy.com.au/giant-leap

This is excellent news for the people of Victoria. It's a big step in the right direction for the environment, and for clean, cheap electricity.

The article has some interesting quotes from various interested parties. In light of recent comments by Jess Wilson in favour of more fossil gas, I think the article gives a fair warning of what the agenda could will look like if Jess Wilson’s One Nation-Liberal Coalition gets any power.

  2. Moira Deeming set to be disendorsed as a Liberal candidate after dropping Supreme Court action
    abc.net.au/news/2026-07-16/moi

Moira Deeming, TERF, apparent friend of neo-nazis, and unflushable turd for the Liberal Party of Victoria, looks like she's finally going. Opposition Leader, Jess Wilson, doesn't have much choice: she knows it's too much of a shocking truth for voters to see, and even former supporters of Moira Deeming are looking shy.

Amusingly, after nearly bankrupting the opposition leader at the time, John Pesutto, the party drained its own coffers to prop him up. And, now Moira Deeming is facing the prospect of bankruptcy. She had a mysterious financial backer (DON'T WE ALL?!) give her a multi-million dollar loan to pay for legal proceedings. Now, he's been revealed to be a property developer from NSW, and he wants his money back quickly. I can only hope this house of cards collapses for these terrible people.

  3. Victorian Liberal Party deputy leader Sam Groth will exit politics at next election
    abc.net.au/news/2026-01-05/sam

It's curious that Sam Groth is quitting Parliament (some media are saying quitting politics entirely), when only 18 months ago, he expressed a desire to be Premier of Victoria.

Sam Groth had several obstacles standing in his way:
    - Sam Groth has played second-fiddle as Deputy under Brad Battin, and now Jess Wilson. He lasted approximately six weeks as Jess Wilson's Deputy Leader, which suggests he's not cut-out to be Deputy, or that he lacks loyalty to the leader. His entitlement made him blind to that.
    - Sam Groth could never could become Leader of the Victorian Liberal Party without support of the party. His resignation letter was filled with bitterness toward the party. His entitlement made him blind to that.
    - The LNP have little hope of beating the ALP in the next state election, which is tipped to be late November this year. His entitlement made him blind to that.
    - The media keep digging-up dirt on Sam Groth. They've published articles suggesting he's done travel-rorts, and might have a drinking-problem. But, by far the most disturbing thing Sam Groth has done was while he was a tennis Coach for his now-wife -- they began a relationship when he was 23 or 24 and she was only 17 years old.

  4. Jess Wilson has successfully knifed Brad Battin to seize the position of Leader of the Opposition, this driving a knife deeper into the rotting corps of the Liberal Party of Victoria.

Jess Wilson, nepo-baby of former Victorian Liberal MP Ron Wilson, will represent the Neo-Conservative faction of the Liberal Party. To promote broad public appeal and prop-up her party-room numbers Jess Wilson is yet to rule-out appeasing the anti-environment faction of the Liberal Party, the Rupert Murdoch faction of the Liberal Party, the anti-immigrant faction of the Liberal Party, the TERF faction of the Liberal Party and their anti-LGBTQIA runningmates, or the Neo-Nazi faction of the Liberal Party.

Jess Wilson is currently the preferred candidate of The Institute of Public Affairs for the position of Premier of Victoria. An unnamed spokesman for the IPA said the thinktank is optimistic she'll survive until November next year to lead the party to a crushing defeat in the 2026 Victorian State Election.
