There's no reason for me to like #fondalee 's "jade" Trilogy as much as I do.
I'm about a quarter of the way through the second book, #jadewar and I can't put it down.
It's a Yakuza -type urban fantasy for lack of a better description. The kind of thing that would not interest me too much.
But she writes really, REALLY well.

#FondaLee takes a while to build momentum in #JadeWar too, but then ..! My goodness, what a second half and "resolution". I will definitely continue, next stop: #JadeLegacy No idea why no one is making this unique series into a movie. #Sopranos meets #GoT meets #KungFuHustle? Ok, not so funny…

I don't really know what to make of #FondaLee's #GreenboneSaga. A unique, rather dark mixture of #TheGodfather and mystical #MartialArts, Asian #UrbanFantasy? On the one hand interesting as a character and social study, on the other hand rather lengthy apart from violent outbursts. Now #JadeWar...
