I was at a meeting in the #IUGG23 conference this year where a few participants expressed scepticism that the #OzoneHole was in fact healing. Sadly looks like they were right, at least this year...

Great talk by Veronica Tollenaar on #BlueIce areas in #Antarctica that somehow manages to unite meteorites, machine learning, satellite data and the impact of #ClimateChange ..

It turns out that warming temperatures help the #meteorites melt their way into the ice and be lost.

The title is: Investigating surface buoyancy flux and Ekman transport influence on the Southern Ocean's upper ocean pycnocline stratification.

If you are interested by buoyancy fluxes, Ekman transport, stratification, non-linearities of the EOS, or just curious, come for a chat!

Searching for something to eat in #Berlin, I type #vegan into Google and get no fewer than 8 vegan* restaurants within less than 500m of my hotel. 😲

Not sure if this is by pure chance, if #VeganRestaurants cluster together for protection or if things really are changing fast...?

Anyway, I know what I'm going to be spending my evenings doing...
