  1. CW: USA, Meds, Loratadine, Some Now With Milk Sugar

I occasionally use loratadine for allergies, and the latest bottle of pills was (newly) very sweet. Bottle only listed active ingredient (loratadine, obv.) and nowt else. Turns out, at least in the bottle I have (care one), they're adding lactose monohydrate (milk sugar) for sweetness, and not listing it on the bottle. Had to hit NIH's med ingredients site to find out. Not gonna hurt me, but I had a moment, because that's never been sweet before.

And, y'know, not listing an allergen that's common - but listing that the product is GF - is super cool. Might have been listed on the box and I missed it, but handwaves a definite WTF moment. No idea if this is the new thing to do, but I guess cavaet bloody emptor again.
