#InclusiveAccess involves automatically billing students for textbooks, even if the course has no textbooks ("Equitable Access"). I generally appreciate Phil's takes on edtech, but this comes off as seriously tone deaf. The "inclusive access" model was designed to keep the publishers in business, not improve the student experience. Marginal cost savings (when buying oranges instead of apples) is not a long term solution or anything that needs to live on.
