  24. Without wishing failure on the project I did think that they'd done a Beatle when the radio signal acquisition didn't go well. But the framing of being a prototype takes the pressure off.

    And I guess the line "Check manual isolation of lasers is OFF" is inserted in the launch process rubric.

  29. #IM1 - The difference from SLIM's tip-over is that IM-1 can still charge it's batteries (at least until lunar night in a week.)

    And I'd say that the tests of the radio fuel measurements and the real-life dependence on the ranging measurements using the NASA test equipment is a huge risk reduction win for future missions.

  32. Eagerly awaiting a new LROC image of the IM-1 Landing site. I assume they'll eventually take one.
