I understand it's hard to find a venue for significant international events, but holding an event in a dangerous country also means taking this risk, and losing its hard-earned reputation. I still think It would be a fatal mistake for the UN to hold #IGF2024 in Saudi Arabia, but some people can profit from it.

Next #IGF will be in Saudi!!! I can't find the words to express how ridiculous and offensive this is for the #DigitalRigths and #HumanRights community. And... wait for it, Russia wants to host 2025!!! (thankfully, Norway stepped in to challenge that one)
