The #2004WorldJuniorFigureSkatingChampionships were held at the #DeUithof in #TheHague, #Netherlands between February 29 and March 7. Junior age eligible figure skaters competed for the title of World Junior Champion in #mensSingles, #ladiesSingles, #pairSkating, and #iceDancing. Due to the large number of participants, the men's and ladies' qualifying groups were split into groups A and B. The ice dancing qualifying event was split into two groups as well.

Wait until you see CROSS COUNTRY SKI DANCING!Anyone can be fancy and romantic when your blade is smaller than your actual shoe. But what if it was FIVE FEET LONG! (That's a meter and a half for metrical types.)

It's cool to see. Young people being in sports like this usually means access to an ice rink that is there year round. More diversity in national competitions often come from more equity in access to training spaces. -
