I'm a reluctant #HouseKeeper. I seldom vacuum or clean my carpets or dust unless the "need" is obvious & even then I'll procrastinate about it.

Well, I finally decided that my carpets needed cleaning. So, I endeavored to find the "right" carpet cleaner to buy. #Bissell & #Hoover dominate this market & when I did the research on the "best" carpet cleaner to buy, the "reviews" were inconsistent.

So, I just threw caution to the wind & bought the one that I was most attracted to (for relevant & irrelevant reasons) BUT, while I usually do NOT buy extended product warranty for the things that I buy, I bought 1 for this item because more than enough people report them failing in less than a year & because I've owned a carpet cleaner before that did the same thing.

Fingers crossed that it lasts long enough for at least 1 extensive use to clean my carpets, the cost of which hopefully will be less than it would have cost to rent one.

I’m one of those who fights battles with #clutter and #piles at home. No, it’s not #hoarding. It’s more about the #mental hills we climb to establish and maintain #momentum on a task. I reach a point of #overload and then I #shutdown. In some ways, if I could stop myself hitting mental #barriers then the take themselves are easy. Then #shame can build, and there’s my natural #aversion of people. Maybe I just need to hire a #housekeeper. #actuallyautistic @actuallyautistic
