I finally squashed a nasty bug I had in my "rogue-like" game experiment for the Apple II.
Silly mistake: I did not properly initialize a memory location before using it 😅

It was a bit tricky to find, as it only occurred on real machines: indeed the emulator on which I test my game zeroes the whole memory space during its allocation. And 0 was the correct value to set 😕

I intend to write a blog post about the importance of regularly testing on a real machine. This will be the perfect illustration! 🙂
