  13. CW: summary of first day of GSAS conference

What a great first day in #GSAS !!

We started the day with a talk from Neal. It made us think in more depth about fitness functions, to think about what you need

and to not get distracted by metrics that don't. I really liked how Neal dealt with questions.

From Nick, we got an overview the most asked questions in software architecture. Bonus was a sneak peak into the next talk by Vlad.

From Vlad we learned great ways to think about Coupling. His latest book seems a promising read, looking forward to it.

Then, Sonya distilled her formula for decision making. Eight steps and you are in business!

I enjoyed the pragmatic approach to architecture reviews from Nate and a most excellent delivery .

Finally, I'm very sorry I missed Pratik Patel, I caught some of the questions at the end and I will need to catch up with this talk offline.

Great start to the conference, looking forward to tomorrow (for my talk, and the talks after) and then Wednesday (for the workshop with Diana Montalion).

  14. How to analyse architectures with Nate Schutta. Just hope you don't come across diagrams like this one!

  16. Congratulations, Vlad, on finishing writing your new book! Looking forward to reading it when it is published in a few months 😁
