@morpheus Bei mir läuft Nextcloud neben Pi-Hole, Grocy und Joplin auf einem kleinen NUC.
Bei der Nextcloud nutze ich neben der Dateiablage auch Kontakte, Kalender, Lesezeichen (nicht ganz ausgereift, aber ausreichend), ToDo-Listen, RSS-Agregator (News), und das Kochbuch (ist ausbaufähig, aber ok). Das alles für die ganze Familie.

Chefkoch.de fokussiert sich auf Rezepte für Zuhause.
Für große Gruppen oder mehrtägige Events kannst du mit Coocook mehrere Einkaufslisten anlegen (z.B. Großeinkauf und Frischwaren) und Posten zusammenrechnen (z.B. täglich Brot, oder 50 Stk. Äpfel zum Mitnehmen + 5 kg Äpfel zum Backen).

Eigentlich™ hatte ich ja vor, keinen eigenen #Server mehr zu betreiben, sondern nur noch auf externe Ressourcen und Tools zurückzugreifen – eigentlich …
Da für mich die Vorteile eigener #Fediverse - Instanzen aber wichtig sind – zu wichtig, um sie nicht weiterzubetreiben, – ist einer von drei Servern nach wie vor online.
Auf meiner Suche nach Ersatz-Tools für Programme, die ich auf meinem #Palm #Treo 650 nutzte, bin ich mit dem, was ich da gefunden habe, nicht wirklich glücklich geworden, und so habe ich gestern #Firefly iii ( #Haushaltsbuch / #Finanzverwaltung ) installiert, und bin heute dabei, #Grocy neu zu installieren.
Zunächst habe ich alles für mich Überflüssige abgeschaltet, damit wirklich nur noch die Einkaufsliste übrig bleibt, und bin jetzt dabei (Achtung: Fleißarbeit), die einzelnen Artikel einzugeben.
Grocy nur wegen der #Einkaufsliste zu nutzen, ist ein wenig wie “mit Kanonen auf Spatzen zu schießen”, aber tatsächlich gibt es keine (zumindest habe ich nichts gefunden) Einkaufsliste, die Preise mit berücksichtigt.
Wenn ich damit dann fertig bin, kann ich den Palm Treo in die Schublade legen.

Ok,
- I didn't check how translations are done, I just put the strings somewhere the others of that area were already 🤷
- I tried to make the lines I added conditions to more readable by stretching it over multiple lines 🤔
- I could have tried to extend the existing popup, yes. I just poked around in the PHP trying to make it do what I wanted with what was there already 🙃That's all debateable. 💁

I came across a limitation, searched & found a 5 year old open issue with exactly this as feature request.
- 5 years old
- no big discussion
- no will/won't/can't do statement from the dev
- 6 months old closed duplicate (without any comment either)So I was just interested, if there's any hope if this is being considered at all, or what's the state for it🤷

Gestern mal mit der #Grocy Demo im Webbrowser am Telefon rumgespielt.
Nicht so ganz die beste Erfahrung, tbh 🤨Problem ist, dass am Smartphone auf der Weboberfläche viele Touch-Eingaben falsch interpretiert werden, was zu nicht gewolltem Verhalten führt.
Muss das mal am Rechner testen und mit der App 🧐

Nicht so ganz die beste Erfahrung, tbh 🤨Problem ist, dass am Smartphone auf der Weboberfläche viele Touch-Eingaben falsch interpretiert werden, was zu nicht gewolltem Verhalten führt.
Muss das mal am Rechner testen und mit der App 🧐

- am Vorabend der Müllabfuhr eine Lampe in der Farbe des jeweiligen Mülls leuchten lassen, bis ich bestätigt habe, den Müll rausgestellt zu haben
- meine Lebensmittelvorräte verwalten (auch wenn mich der Einrichtungsaufwand von #Grocy oder #Pantrist aktuell noch davon abhält) -

The reason reason I have this printer set up is for printing the shopping list. Printing from bash is a fun side effect of having a printer on MQTT.
When you hit the button it publishes a message. A service on the server polls #grocy for the current shopping list and publishes it out onto the print topic.

Kids are home from school for holidays. I hear some drama from the kitchen. Wifest informs me youngest is upset because he went to make himself a cup of tea but we have no teabags.
I am responsible for cooking and shopping, so I consulted my records. Sure enough: 1 x Tetley Extra Strong Tea Bags 100 pack purchased 15 days ago. They were hiding behind a box in the pantry. I made youngest a cup of tea. Crisis averted. Honour defended.

I just deployed #Grocy to my #homelab (on a #RaspberryPi 4) using #linuxserver/#lsio 's #Docker image - the logs indicate that the deployment's fine, but I couldn't access the URL at all. Not sure what's up.

Update: redeployed, this time with its persistent path on local storage instead of my mounted network share. I know sometimes this is an issue, esp if it involves a database, but normally I'd get permission errors to indicate that - maybe not on Grocy. Problem solved (potentially). -

Grocy выглядит как хороший реестр записей. В наличии: открытый исходный код, русский язык, прогрессивное веб-приложение (PWA) и приложение для Android, которые заточены для сканирования штрих-кодов и их печати (если нужно). Как интересно, что по своему предназначению Grocy удовлетворяет почти всем хотелкам, кои у меня были к системе учёта в нашем конкретном проекте.
Остаётся выкинуть пару-тройку ненужных разделов, кнопок, полей. Мне нравится подход со взятием Enterprise Resource Planning и подгонкой его под свои хозяйские нужды. Спасибо @dside за рекомендацию!

I just blue-tacked a few of these around the kitchen. They're about 30mm square. This way I can scan them to zero out the inventory of a grocery if we've used all of them and there's none left to scan.
If the inventory shows less than the minimum number of something #grocy will add it to the shopping list, and my firefox addon will automatically add it to my woolworths shopping cart. It's all working nicely.

I recorded a quick video showing how I tapped into the power and data inside the barcode scanner to interface to the #esp32 running #esphome. I'm working on some QoL tweaks to improve the interface to #grocy to allow for more use-cases.
I also clipped the pins down a bit so the whole thing is a bit more compact.
Once the esphome code is a bit less shameful I'll post it on github.

I made a thing!
Off-the-shelf battery-powered barcode scanner with an ESP32 bodged in to sniff the barcode signal. It then hits my #grocy instance's REST interface to add/subtract/zero groceries in stock.
Works great! Snappy, reliable, responsive. Needs a bit of fit and finish in terms of mounting the screen, but is perfectly functional. Should get good long battery life out of it too.

I just recorded a quick how-to video for my woolies+grocy firefox extension.
It took a a few takes before I got all the bugs ironed out. At one point I tried to order three thousand bottles of milk. Good times.
