I've been saying that #OrangeJuliusCaesar's blockade of #Cuba is going to jumpstart the entire island nation into becoming a major early adopter of #GreenEnergy & self-sufficiency.I wouldn't be surprised if Cuba were to become 99% #Green in the next 5 years and a leading developer of #GreenTech in 10. 🤔

Been working on a Codecarbon + Ecologits metrics provider for Airflow dags. It comes with two things:
1) listener gets Codecarbon metrics for the dag
2) hook provides functionality to capture Ecologits metrics for external LLM apisThe captured metrics are pushed to xcom to either be processed downstream or viewed in Airflow UI.

Das ist falsch. Afrika lässt das fossile Zeitalter aus. Die gehen gleich auf Solarzellen. Das ist einfach das Ökonomischste.
Auch die ganze #VerbrennerAus-Geschichte gibt es nur hier, denn die deutsche Autoindustrie hängt daran. Dass die nur ein Viertel zu groß ist wie #GreenTech, weiß keiner.
Außerdem ist es auch gerade beim #Tempolimit andersrum. Deutschland ist das einzige Land, in dem es keins gibt. (bis auf ein, zwei Länder, in denen es ohnehin keine 100+-Straßen gibt)

In 2009 introduceerden wetenschappers de planetaire grenzen: 9 kritische drempels die onze planeet leefbaar houden. We hebben er al 6 overschreden. Gevolg? Extreme weersomstandigheden, voedseltekorten, watercrisissen en massale migratie. De aarde verliest haar vermogen om schokken op te vangen.
Maar er is een onzichtbare boosdoener die deze crisis versnelt: AI.
🔥 Energieverslinding: Datacenters slurpen stroom – vaak op fossiele brandstoffen.
💧 Wateruitputting: Miljarden liters water gaan op aan koelsystemen voor servers, in regio’s die al droog staan.
⚠️ E-waste explosie: Verouderde hardware belandt als giftig afval in ontwikkelingslanden, waar het grondwater vergiftigt.
🌍 Overconsumptie: AI drijft hyperconsumptie aan – meer productie, meer afval, meer uitputting van de aarde.
AI is geen oplossing. AI is een bedreiging.
De keuze is duidelijk: of we remmen de ongeremde groei van AI af, of we accepten dat we de planeet verder de afgrond in duwen.
