  1. @PhilGrass This intrigues me somewhat. I am very cautious of AI in research; especially historic research. I wouldn't take the answers as completely accurate, but I can see you received some useful data.

Curious what others are using #AI for, in regard to #Genealogy ?

  2. @PattyHankins @thedanielsgenealogy @AncestryRoads I am fine with people using whatever platform suits them. I wish the #genealogy community was more active here. I don't use Facebook much these days---but it still is the easiest for me with groups with genealogical focus. I left the #deadbirdsite which I did very much like before #musk took over. I would rather have a smaller audience that is peaceful, kind and not monetized and exploitative. I am happy to make a small contribution each month to help my instance. I am just not interested in more time sucks exploiting me. The lack of algorithms, ads and the democracy here suits me. #genedons @genealogy

  3. Final shout out for this
    #Genealogy question:
(If you've already replied, I've got your results). I will publish Saturday evening 📈 📖

What software/online service are you using to run/store/work your tree(s)?

No point adding a poll as there are too many options.

Hit me with a reply and I will update us all in the coming days.

Please Boost if you feel it's appropriate to your followers.

I'll start. I use TNG as it's fully online. I love(d) iFamily for the Mac, but not having it all online makes it less accessible if I am out and about.

  5. @HeatherRojo although to be accurate with pedigre collapse the numbers do not keep doubling. The tree would round in like an oak. In my tree especially in Rehoboth I have one couple that appears 5 times in my family tree and others 3 and 4 x's. I am also descended from Walter PALMER originally of Rehoboth later Stonington 4 times! If you have ancestry in the first 50 years in MA you have an est 1/5 chance of being related. #genedons #genealogy #RehobothMAPlaces #StoningtonCTPlaces #PALMER

  6. #genealogy #genedons #books If you like murder mysteries may I recommend this one by Peter May with a genealogical twist. Especially if you have Scottish ancestry that immigrated to Canada.

  7. People who want original research on the #Wapanoag & other indigenous people and their intersection with Europeans in New England. I highly recommend Our Beloved Kin by Lisa Brooks. It is subtitled A New History of King Philip's War but it is soo much more. You will look at the lives of your ancestors differently, I promise. #thanksgiving #bookodons #genedons #genealogy #KingPhilipsWar
