A lot of sources, and, alas, official/governmental ones still are on the #DeadBirdSite as well, sometimes even exclusively...
The same holds true for YouTube, though there are ways to indirectly quote from there (which I keep forgetting. )

Ich erinnere mich da an einen Radiobeitrag eines mir nicht mehr erinnerlichen Abgeordneten-Wird-Publizisten, der davon erzählte, wie viele Lobbyisten anfangs auf ihn zukamen und wie schwierig es war NEIN zu sagen.

Man hätte die #DeadBirdSite in der #EU und den #USA sperren sollen, so lange man noch konnte. Nun könnte es in der Tat zu spät dafür sein.

Es gibt jedoch noch andere Möglichkeiten, #Demokratien #MilliardärSicher zu machen. Abgesehen von einer #Reichensteuer in Form einer #Milliardärsteuer sind dies auch #ParteispendenBegrenzungen.

@tansy @cyd I did this a couple years back. Also, website I used allowed me to delete ALL my likes. Afterwards, eliminated my account. I do not miss the #deadbirdsite at all. Love it here!!

Went back to the #deadbirdsite to see a message I received from someone I know. Although the message was great, I made the mistake of browsing around to my old feeds there.

Ew.

The whole place just feels...kinda gross now. Its like a Dollar Tree's going out of business sale - sure, people still come for a few good steals, but they haven't cleaned the place since February of last year.

...that smuggle contraband right away was a major strategic mistake (as I had been shouting from the (now) #DeadBirdSite's rooftops for months after the #Russian mass invasion of #Ukraine in 2022.)

I think the RUS economy would have crashed, possibly not giving #Putler the chance to switch the economy to wartime production.
The West could have handled a recession...
