Honestly, I think half the reason that I GM instead of play as a player is that I get to come up with more characters per campaign. #dnd #foreverdm

I really like seeing descriptions of GMs talking about forgetting rules or entering the Boblin the Goblin situation with formerly unnamed NPCs.
Good reminder that we don't all need the polish of a Matt Mercer or a Brennan Lee Mulligan.
We can all be us and tell the stories our tables tell. It's a comfort amid the eternal imposter syndrome.

This is exciting. A player in my upcoming #Traveller campaign has asked to use my #FoundryVTT server to host her #PulpHero game. And I get to be a player!
I haven't used the #HEROSystem since it was simply #Champions back in the 80s. From what I remember, the system was fun, though character creation could get a little "involved".

2 months ago I decided I'd like to run an RPG campaign and started scribbling ideas on paper.
A month ago I finally picked an RPG system to use.
2 weeks ago I started hunting down cool artwork.
A week ago, I started copy-pasting rules from 4 versions of the same game into a document I could send my friends.
And now I'm hunting down a OGL system I could use instead. Because, what use is my super cool illustrated booklet if I cannot show it to complete strangers?

Me: I really wish I could get to be a player in an RPG game at some point. Being a Forever DM is exhausting sometimes.

My name is Assaf and I am a character addict. I come up character ideas and backstories all the time and they live rent free in my brain for days, weeks, or years at a time. And as a DM, I almost never get to play them.
