The top one is clearly the sleeve ferrule. The bottom is the internal (spigot) ferrule. The middle one resembles an internal ferrule, but it’s actually a sleeve ferrule 🤔
Should I called it a “false internal ferrule”, like naming in biology? I like this rod, it deserves a more respectful name 😉

Great 😁 I like those alphabet/number codes rather than something like “Centric” the fly rod industries started using. It is easier to follow the lineage and rod development 🧐 BTW, my favorite is GS 884-4, and it still got the “G” code 😉 -

@sjgrim1111 Scott fly rods are great. They can be purchased only from authorized dealers - maybe that is why 😀 I used to have an A2 (8ft, 4 wt), a predecessor of Flex - it was a nice smooth casting rod 😁 but I broke it and I was not an original owner so, no warranty 😭
