  1. Two favourites: Anthoxanthum odoratum (Sweet vernal grass with heavenly smell of fresh hay) and Holcus lanatus (with its beautiful German name Wolliges Honiggras, "wooly honey-grass").

If you can, why don't you take the time to take a super close look at grass flowers? They can be absolutely stunning! 🌾

What's your favourite grass, I want to know! Everybody should have one! 😍

  2. Fedi folks! I'm looking for a speech to text app for my android phone or alternatively software for my Windows computer that turns voice memos into text. It needs to work offline, ideally #opensource and I'm willing to pay for it.

How would you go about this?

I'll be out in the field surveying biotopes soon and would like to record voice memos instead of scribbling illegible notes in the rain.

  3. Bush honeysuckles (Lonicera spp.) are commonly found in wooded areas and are often admired for their sweet fragrance and showy flowers. However, these non-native shrubs are invasive in much of the U.S., where they outcompete understory plants and reduce biodiversity.
