I was today years old when I first listened to the #Feelies 's Crazy Rhythms (1980) album. What a pathbreaking work! -- I hear so much 1990s #music and later AAA in it. Very reminiscent of the #indie scene, quirky cult classic films, and other things that came later. So grateful that I stumbled across it!

In the 80s, I sent a dorky, teenage fanboy letter to the Feelies. (Presumably, to the PO Box listed on the back of one of their records.) Months later, I received a perfunctory but polite reply from Feelies drummer Stanley Demeski. That letter has spent the last 35+ years stuck in the sleeve of my copy of the band's "No One Knows" EP. It falls out every time I play that record, so I finally decided to post it on last Saturday's WFMU playlist. (And now I am posting it here.)

caught the 2nd night of the #feelies at brooklyn made, opening for themselves as the willies, their instrumental-ish/vibey-ish alter egos. achieved personal liftoff during "third stone from the sun" in the willies set (did the feelies just jam?!), "slipping into something," & some of the noisier/gnarlier guitar solos that i've heard glenn mercer take. just maybe 2-3 too many encore breaks (though the last one did yield television's "see no evil").

The floppy disk & accompanying flyer advertising a fake ISP give you access to our character Allison’s personal files, both on the disk and online (in case you don't have a floppy drive handy). Read characters' emails, journal entries, & files they’ve collected from various ''90s-era BBSes.
