The temptation to use a different, non-fedi social to share my writing and poetry and thoughts is pretty tempting sometimes.

Like, okay. I don't write smutty spice, or poetry, or whatev else for money, or to build a brand, or to get ppl to sub to my stuffs, but IS nice when ppl read and comment. Mostly tho, I (and other indie writers I guess) are invisible.

Lol, I guess the writing bot likes my stuffs?

I've tried Archive Of Our Own but at least my experience was that if u aren't writing fanfics, u are invisible. Maybe I was doing it wrong?

There's Tumblr, Bluesky, I guess? I hate that if I want real feedback, I have to compromise and use the ick tho! And I mean TOS and data miners ugh.

Das ist ein bisschen schade, dass im Fediverse immer wieder Kommentare nicht angezeigt werden.

Gerade den Fall gehabt, dass ich mit neuem Privataccount plötzlich einen Kommentar auf unserer Seite gesehen habe, der mir wenn ich mit diesem Account eingeloggt bin, nicht angezeigt wurde.

Nach dem mein Pixelfed-Account unseren Mastodon-Account verlinkt hatte, konnte ich dann den Kommentar sehen.

I don't post much, and when I do and the only comments I get are disparaging and derogatory.... Doesn't really make me want to do it more, tbh. I will say that I am rather a fan of the blocking function in Masto though, definitely helps me keep my sanity 🙂 #fediproblems #blocked

@polykit I have a couple hundred videos up on a peertube instance, and I was subscribed to the admin’s patreon, but the admin seems unavailable, and I can’t log in anymore because of a problem with 2FA. I post mostly eurorack videos. It would be nice to have a place to post new stuff, but I have to admit the idea of fracturing videos across different instances feels counterintuitive. Thanks for boosting @rasterweb…. we gotta figure out a game plan for this. #peertube #fediproblems

Let's talk about #FediProblems unrelated to #Bluesky today.

The prevelance of #Discord in #Fediverse #moderation.

#Discord is a centralized service with a history of violating the #gdpr and being generally not #privacy friendly.

In terms of data security, it's messages are comparable to #DMs on the #Fediverse - they are always accessible to the admins of the service.

But still, moderation teams on the #fediverse use the service for coordination.
