Zorro. Most any version, just the whole concept. Absolute Batman this, Absolute that, and Johnson McCulley already gave us decades of stories, movies, music and comics about how some assholes need a beatdown as a warning of what's really waiting for them, a message even the tame 90s Family Channel show fully embraced. -

@ami_angelwings Be warned, if you want to experience Xenoblade Chronicles 3, one of the best games I’ve ever played (and I’ve played since the 80s), stop reading. This is the big spoiler.
Z, from Xenoblade 3. More precise the concept which he embodies as part of the game, where two worlds (1&2) collide and am suppose to merge. But Z is created and stops it, freezing this almost merged world in what they call the endless now.
This has quite some impact on me, and I think it separates those that enjoy the first two games more than the third. Because I sympathize with the idea of the endless now and the fear that creates it. The fear that tomorrow will be much worst than today.
Which is a pretty high concept to chuck into a game, not as a subtext but right in your face. The ten year cycles of the soldiers, them being reborn endlessly, the main characters with their flutes etc.
Z is the endless now, and thus my pick for Z. Not because the character on screen is anywhere near the best villain by itself, but because what surrounds the character makes for one very powerful concept.

@ami_angelwings Zorro, played by Guy Williams. Watched a lot of that show as a kid. As an adult it’s interesting also to think about all the political/historical stuff featured in it, like how everybody was Spanish or Mexican in California, and the like.
Thank you so much for this thread. It’s been a lot of fun thinking about characters and reading about everybody else’s favorites.
