@[email protected] Only one possible choice for X. Xel'lotath, one of the Ancients in the game Eternal Darkness. She's green, she's many voices, and of the three elements of the game, she's madness! Whenever I play through Eternal Darkness I always take the same order, first with Chattur'gha so he and Ulyaoth fight it out, then Ulyaoth so that Xel'lotath is the ally at my side, and finally Xel'lotath so I can enjoy watching her cutscenes last, even if that does mean the game ends with her defeat.

@ami_angelwings The only time travel character for #FavCharacterX seems to be Xehanort from the Kingdom Hearts games. It's another one where I don't have firsthand knowledge, but being able to assemble an army of other versions of yourself through use of time travel would seem to qualify him. (Anyone else want to back me up or offer alternatives?) #FavCharacterAtoZ

Xavier: Renegade Angel. Not that familiar with Vernon Chatman's stuff (which sounds amazingly elaborate) but I've always had a thing for abstract/absurdist comedy and storytelling, so even just from clips and the occasional episode Xavier ticks a lot of my boxes. If nothing else, there's something relatable about a guy trying and failing to understand the logic of the world around him.

Xenia is also often read as a "queer" character given that the character dresses like a man during the film, she and Bond are also constantly in competition through the movie in typically "masculine" endeavours, and she even suggests she would enjoy Natalya as much as Bond would.

Also, I know "sexual" villainesses aren't especially rare, but Xenia's over the top unapologetic sexuality and conflation of sex and violence together is extremely fun, and part of what makes her so memorable.

Much of that myth and many of those gods have a similar current of sacrifice. Human sacrifices were in part justified because the gods also sacrificed themselves to forestall the endtimes, or bring rain, or food. -

i'd been thinking of my #FavCharacterX for weeks now b/c I don't really know many characters whose names start with X & the ones I do I don't know well enough to claim them as my favourite (Xinghua, Xena, etc), but 1 name kept coming to my mind but she's a side character in 1 movie so I didn't know if I should pick her, but I am.
It's Xenia Onatopp from Goldeneye. Besides played fantastically by Famke Janssen as a sexy, strong & sadistic villain, she's probably the last memorable "dragon" (sidekick/heavy of the villain) that Bond ever had. All the other ones people remember are the "classic" ones (Oddjob, Jaws, Mayday, etc), who else in the "modern" era on does anybody remember? Just Xenia, & she is extremely memorable.
Also she's in a top 100 video game of all time.

@ami_angelwings My time playing genshin impact is rewarding me with a slightly above average number of known fictional characters whose name starts with X
Anyway for my #FavCharacterX -- I'm pretty sure it's Xilonen I think? She's just a lot of fun, there's something fun to me about the archetype of someone that's very adept at something but does NOT want to be fucking bothered by being asked to do it. She's not like an extremely well constructed character or anything, but she is a fun character and with a pool of characters this shallow that's what I've gotta make do with lol
