  1. I accidentally pressed Ctrl += Down arrow on a notification in #FastSM, and it did a thing. Hope it wasn't a bad thing, as I can't figure out how to undo it.

  2. @mewproj Thanks so much for all of your hard work on #FastSM and your other projects as many of us enjoy the fruits of your labors daily. It, and you are appreciated

  3. there's still a bug that needs fixing, which I've reported, and report was promptly ignored, re Legacy speech output needing to be unchecked, then restart #FastSM, then rechecked in order to actually make it work, when navigating using invisible interface.

  4. Is anyone else using Fast SM and not hearing sound effects?

I'm using the Super Mario Maker 2 sound set and haven't changed any settings, but over the past few weeks I've noticed that sound effects don't seem to be playing anymore.

Has anyone else run into this, or found a fix?

  5. Oh man I keep using the wrong keystroke in #FastSM I need my brain to learn this. It's bad when your own brain is the source of your own annoyance.

  6. but, it does make the #FastSM noises that let me know that I am navigating.

  7. okay, so. apparently, there's an issue with JAWS and the latest version of #fastSM, as of this update from today, where the invisible interface does not speak when atempting to navigate especially. For the hell of it, I switched to NVDA and no problem there. I even switched to an older version of JAWS, and in that version, it would just announce the keystroke combinations, and that's it.

  8. How can I access my bookmarks and favorites in #FastSM? I've looked high and lo and can't figure it out. @mewprojects

  9. so in #fastSM if i zip the portable copy, how can I back up my account info as I don't' want to reauthorize on the new computer i"ll be porting this over to.

  10. Well guys, #FastSM had a good run, but the dev wants to run it into the ground by making future versions proprietory, along with the other Fast apps like FastPlay and FastGH. One of the most pathetic moves I've seen in a while, as in a way this is a betrayal of users as people liked it because it was open source.

  11. #FastSM is currently using 213 MB of RAM. That seems really high but what do I know?

  12. Anyone else experiencing a recent issue where, after completing a task, such as posting this message, using #FastSM, the window disappears and is not available when pressing alt+tab to switch back to it? #accessibility @mewProjects

  13. I seem to be having some new problems with #FastSM this morning. Every time I take an action, such as posting this message, the window seems to close completely. I can't find it using standard navigation like alt+tab. I have to find and close it in Task Manager and then restart FastSM to get things working again. I appreciate any ideas for fixing or working around this issue. @MewProjects

  14. Does anyone know how to follow hashtags using #FastSM? I'm trying to figure it out but don't know how.

  15. okay, when I look through individual time lines, I see quite often, instances of blank posts occurring. What does that mean? Not sure if it's a #FastSM thing or what.

  16. Hey everyone. While running #FastSM, I frequently hear the message "stream connection lost," yet, everything seems to be working fine. Any ideas why this is happening and how I can stop the messages? They're annoying. :-) Thanks. #accessibility @FastSM

  17. *If anyone can help me with this, I would sincerely appreciate it. I have no interest in discussing whether Windows 7 is supported or not. I know it's not, and I am choosing to use it. I have everything I need, except a Mastodon client, so right now, I am using 11. And no, I have no interest in Linux either.*
I normally use TweeseCake, but it doesn't work on Windows 7, and it's closed source, so there is no way of changing that. Apparently, there is a version of TWBlue that did, but I can't find it. I just tried a client called Fast SM, and it's wonderful. However, it doesn't work on 7 either. Judging by the Github page, it seems to be written in Python. I am not a programmer, but would it be possible to get modern TwBlue or Fast SM to work with Windows 7? Both of these are open source. If not, then does anyone have the old version of TWBlue?

Finally, it seems that, unlike TweeseCake, the others have some sort of retrieval limit. If, for example, I'm not on Mastodon for a day or two and have 400 notifications, TweeseCake shows all of them. But the others only show a certain number far below that. Why is this, and can it be changed?

As a side note, I tried Whalebird and it was an absolute disaster with NVDA.

  18. @jaybird110127 @FastSM I deleted #fastSM out"og my applications folder and re-added it, and relauyched the app. WITH same result, I would like to add my bluesky account but with that autorisationcode dialog popping up each time, that is impossible for now, any help o hins how to fix this will be much appreciated

  19. @jaybird110127 @FastSM First of all #fastsm developers, many thanks for all you do! Silly question: I did a stupid thing and tried to access an account on mastodon I don’t have longer access to it seems. When I launch the accounts dialog I get put back in to the authorization code window. How can I delete this have login from my Mac?

  20. #FastSM Who of you lovely people is working on this new Mastodon/Bluesky client? I tried looking for some current handles of people I thought I knew are involved, but I apparently lost track of y'all, with instance moving and such.

  21. Anyone know how to fix the whole notification thing being broken in #FastSM? I can't figure it out.

  22. I frequently hear "stream connection lost" coming from #FastSM but as far as I can tell nothing is actually wrong. Anyone else run in to this and solved it? @FastSM
