  1. So, Fastaval is kind of an anomaly, born out of purely volunteer work and the Danish union (broad sense) mentality.

I'm curious, what other anomalies exist out there? Smallish ttrpg communities that foster a sense of connection and uniqueness, apart from the mainstream ttrpg cultures?

  2. My latest version of the pitch sheet to #Fastaval of my #mancala game #LunarNexus.

All feedback is appreciated. Please note that this is not a regular sell sheet, but something slightly different: fastaval.dk/en/braetspil/bliv-

  3. I have made a first draft of a Pitch sheet of my game #LunarNexus to #Fastaval. If you have any questions or feedback the coming week, I’m all ears!

  4. Today, I’ve worked on the pitch sheets to #Fastaval for one of my board game designs, Lunar Nexus. I still have some things to do and add, but I’m soon open for some eyes outside of my test group. Is this a good place to get feedback, you think?

  5. I’m very excited for my mancala game that I am working with at the moment. I’m excited for two reasons:
    • I’m partially exploring the mechanisms of giving away good stuff to your opponents.
    • I’m allowing my game to be complex and wild. It feels quite liberating after I’ve spent the past years doing small engines that flows.

The current theme is that you are fighting to be the mayor of Luna City. I will try to strengthen the theme as the development takes further steps.

This will be one of my #Fastaval pitches.

  6. Fastaval 2019 redefined me as a designer. Yes, Whirling witchcraft won the Best Boardgame Award that year. But what shaped me the most was the community. All the endless help I’ve gotten from the community surrounding Fastaval is indescribable. I long to be there again.

I have a few designs that I consider pitching. I need to make up my mind what games I want to show at Fastaval if they are accepted. The deadline for pitching is the 26:th of august. Fastaval 2024 is during Eastern next year.

I hope you consider pitching too! ❤️

  7. The main reason for me being here, is to connect with #roleplaying #game designers, talk theory and practice, but also to get more eyes on my #scenarios.

SO, why should you read and play #Zâr, my best game?

Zâr is a short-form (can be run in a couple of hours) #scenario that premiered at #Fastaval 2022, as a sort of prequel to my (cancelled) Fastaval 2020 scenario #Ahriman (not yet translated). It is a story about four theurges venturing into the #dreams of the eternal consciousness of the Shah, a mythical ruler who was interred upon a sacred mountain, and now maintains order in the realm.

Genre-wise it is an intense #TechnoMystical #ScienceFantasy game of #surreal dream-like narrations. It features a #homebrew card-system that inspires this #naration, and gives it all a dark, symbolic feel.

Now it's time to brag: The scenario was nominated to three of the Fastaval #Otto awards, for Best Characters, Best Mechanics, and Best Scenario - and it got a third place in the Participants' award, which is done through popular vote.

At the time it was rightfully criticized for poor editing, which I have now rectified. It still takes a bunch of printing cards and cutting them out and such, but I promise that it's worth it.

If you play online, you can try out the #TabletopSimulator module I've made:
    steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles

And if you give it a shot, feel free to send me a message, I'd love to hear about what a non-Fastaval roleplayer makes of it.
