  1. So, I still can't access #webxr #vr experiences in a headset, 'cos there is no browser working on #linux pc at the moment (#firefox is in the limbo for 3+ years, #exokit is abandonware apparently, other firefox things are for proprietary hmd, chromium is not boring at all, 😩 😩 )

so one thing that I thought about is: could it be added some interactions with opencv motion face tracking and hand tracking to control an avatar in #hubs @ImmersSpace in front of a (big) screen with a cam/kinect ... ??

  2. what is crazy is that on #gnulinux you still can't use A-Painter, the #aframe equivalent since there is still no #WebVR browser for gnu/linux ...
the #mozilla efforts are concentrated on proprietary OSes and the #OpenVR support that was started is actually obsolete in the meantime (>3 years!!) as it has been replaced by #OpenXR ... and still no impementation in view...

(#exokit seems dead since a few month and does not work anymore... ?!)

    it's depressing... :/

  3. so what happened to #exokit ? looks like it's not developed anymore ... ?
It was the best bet to have a working #webvr browser on Linux, but since April it has no update ... 😢

  4. I can't make #exokit to load and accept a #WebVR website with the Vive on Linux (debian 9 with correct 10.x node.js/npm and all)
it can load certain scene but not recognise the headset and controllers (AFrame examples - apainter gets "unresponsive" in OpenVR), or just segfault with the provided exemples

it looks very "magicleap" oriented though

    apparently there is some progress on #Firefox on #linux twitter.com/beVR_nz/status/105 🐦 but can't see/test ... #WebXR #VR #floss
