@djh Can you give examples of what you mean / how you think they could be improved? Some disabilities (e.g. blindness) seem nigh impossible to fix for maps. Reduced vision should work with regular magnifying tools AFAIK? Others (e.g. fine motor control) might be improved with e.g. keyboard shortcuts.

As for the #EUAccessibilityAct at least it should not currently apply to #OpenStreetMap (it is still based in UK, and even if not, it seems to count as "microenterprise").

Websites barrierefrei zu gestalten, stelle ich mir sehr herausfordernd vor. Kennt jemand entsprechende Ressourcen zum (kennen)lernen?

Next week I will give my first public conference talk since 2019: "Accessibility in the Digital Age". With the upcoming EU accessibility act, I think it's a great time to come back from hiatus and spread the necessary awareness.

Yesterday I showed an company internal architects group the topic Retrieval Augmented Generation and what it means in terms of architecture and how to play with some alpha code.

Made a demo where it is possible to chat with the EU accessibility act (170 pages PDF) and the WCAG 2.1 guidelines, using the meta/LLAMA-2-70b LLM

Works surprisingly well.
