My almost 9 year old #daughter has #computing class at school. They started learning #Logo...
Kind of nostalgic. I played with Logo on #Elwro 800 Junior in around '90 - Polish clone of ZX Spectrum capable booting #CP/M from disk, and then load Logo interpreter.
Funnily, #Elwro could be networked and we had network of them in our youth centre in Kraków.

Kącik buraczanego renowatora amatora prezentuje: kalkulator Elwro 144, rocznik 1983 (więc mój rówieśnik) z niektórymi częściami z roczników '81 i '82.
Robota ogólnie dość łatwa, wystarczyło wyczyścić tony syfu z klawiszy, usunąć zdezintegrowaną gąbkę spod nich i delikatnie przeszlifować ścieżki i pola na płytce stykowej, bo wspomniana gąbka weszła w reakcję z lutem i wżarła się w niego tak, że klawisze nie kontaktowały.
Teraz wszystko działa, ale klawisze są dla odmiany superczułe i trzeba ich dotykać naprawdę delikatnie, żeby nie powielały. Zresztą cały mechanizm klawisza to chamska płaska sprężynka, przewleczona przez dziurę w płytce i trzymająca się tylko własnym oporem - nawet nie wciskana ani nie przykręcona. #retro #elektronika #electronics #prl #elwro #kalkulator -

Did you know? Back in the 80ties Poland's #Elwro created quite good #ZX #Spectrum compatible Junior 800. With education in mind, they added networking! Now - thanks to Przemysław's hard work - you can build an exact replica with this open source project: https://github.com/codepainters/e800j

@cypnk The Elwro 800 Junior computer appears in the video. It is an example of how difficult it was to create something in Poland under the occupation of the USSR. Despite this, computers were produced in Poland, for example in the Elwro factory.
