I am having trouble with a relatively early song in #EliteBeatAgents (DS rhythm game) and @Not_mermista just gave me a quick explanation on why the beat of this song is throwing me off (she's a percussionist).

Long story short, her advice is to learn the lyrics to Queen's I Was Born To Love You and follow the lyrics to get on the right beat. But she took time to listen to the beat, looked up the sheet music, and found a few 16th notes and the occasional time signature change that are difficult to count (I just double-checked my understanding with her on this point), and all of this just makes me think how lucky I am to be with someone so cool and knowledgeable and helpful and generous.
