The award-winning medics of 1 Field Ambulance which was founded in 1914 to serve in WWI, and which served with distinction in Kandahar, put on a mock display of their skills in action for crowds at an open house at CFB Edmonton on Saturday, July 29. "At 3 pm we arrived at the Main branch opposite Fort Assiniboine, to which we Crossed in a Canoe, thus completing our Journey from #Edmotnon in a little less than six days, altho' only a distance by estimation of about 90 miles... which may seem to pointout the diffiuclty of passig this Portage, which in any other part of the World, I really believe would be considered impassible.
