Oops. The Eden Sessions management has rescheduled the Wednesday gig around… the football. Support act is now at 5pm instead of 7:45 and the main act at 6pm instead of 9pm - on a working day, with many people’s travel arrangements already locked in. Very poor judgement here.
This has not gone down at all well with ticket holders, over 100 comments on Facebook already according to my partner. It’s a mix of mainly “can’t get there in time now” and “disrespectful to the bands” supplemented with some “not interested in the football” - and a lot of anger.
I think this is what you’d call an own goal (haha). Also something that people will remember when tickets come out for next year.

Today I decided against going to see Public Service Broadcasting in September at Alexandra Palace in London. Mainly because the cost of fees and insurance added almost 50% to the ticket price. I do like PSB but by the time I’ve got to London and paid for a room overnight as well… the additional ticket fees was the last straw.
That was after having to rejoin the ticket queue twice. The first time I was booted out because I had private relay turned on, on my iPad. The second time because I was using a private browsing session (I think).
On the plus side, half an hour later I had purchased two tickets to see Mika at the Eden Project in July, which is walking distance 😬

Ooh Deftones are playing the Eden Sessions next year. Might have to go to that one. That’ll be three gigs out of the four announced so far that I’ll be going to #EdenSessions #Deftones
