I don't think speculation in the #UAP #UFO world has much value, but one thing I have NOT heard much about the #DronesOverNJ is that the powers-that-be now have the ability to quickly clutter the sky with conventional craft if and when a true UFO flap occurs.

In other words, ppl start seeing anomolous craft, you put up conventional ones, and then say, "Look, these are just ordinary drones. Nothing unusual. Probably hobbyists." That draws the ACTUAL hobbyists and police drones--all conventional, all the better.

This tactic would be in line with information / disinformation control tactics. Don't worry about explaining what occurred--add more so the original incident gets obfuscated, and mix fact with fiction.

I'm basing this on the notion that anomalous craft HAVE been spotted over NJ, but that data is hard to verify.

As a way to prevent catastrophic disclosure due to a mass sighting, this seems like a plausible tactic, no?

The recent #drone sightings and news media's half-assed reporting, to me, clearly illustrate the impossibility of sorting fact from fiction in today's media landscape.

Just look at the way everybody is making up their own narrative based on some data, no data, shoddy data, conspiracy theories, and mealymouthed statements from government officials.

Every official stating what these are NOT. No official stating what they ARE. And virtually no pressure from the media to clarify.

Let the public fight about what's real and what's fake. You don't even need to obfuscate. You just wait for people to move onto the next shiny object--and this tactic, sadly, will work.

What are these things? What the hell is going on?

Literally nobody knows anything, and there's not enough reliable data or reporting to conclude a damn thing. We're just in the dark, as usual.

What is this knee jerk urge to dismiss the #DronesOverNJ ? A hand-wave. Oh, it's just a little mass hysteria, no need to look any further. Oh, it's probably just hobbyists. Oh, it's airplanes. Oh, it's just made up, a distraction, a PsyOp.

Is it the stigma? Certainy. But what does that stigma play off of? Our desire to feel intellectually superior? Our subconscious will to maintain the status quo, to believe "nothing to see here?" Our own partisanship, the narrative that the other party is full of naive idiots? Fear of the unknown and urge to look in the other direction?

Probably a bit of all of the above.

My only hope is that we take this opportunity to LOOK and LISTEN and stop with the hand waving. Stop trying to shut it down, but shut up and pay attention. Then decide.

What's come out so far is as clear as mud, and we need more detailed accounts and fewer broad strokes. Actual investigative journalism to sort through the noise.

i keep getting sucked into the #DronesOverNJ stories. i haven't seen any and from most of the video and pics i've seen, neither has anyone else.
i keep seeing what are obviously hobby drones or planes. is there any actual footage? or is this just hysteria like the 80's when ever town was filling with Satan worshippers
