Does anyone else watch this on tv? I've enjoyed it for a few years, and tonight the new season is as equally curious and irritating as ever. Anyone have any thoughts about its authenticity?

Sadly, the season finale of #SkinwalkerRanch has aired. The science dudes are all excited that they’re getting a dedicated stationary satellite soon through yet another deal the Utah real estate owner dude set up.

There’s a lot of weird shit going down.

And we have poop! Thomas does not look happy about bagging the samples. They’ll try to claim it’s dire wolf or skinwalker scat next… but hey, it’s for science.

Yeah, watching #SkinwalkerRanch because the crazy experiments, Travis’ exciteability, and Eric’s extraordinary hat tickle me.

My last night at Hotel Rehab, and I’m celebrating by watching the #SkinwalkerRanch marathon and season premiere. Passed all the evaluations, and outpatient/day rehab is scheduled. It’ll be interesting to see the response from HR to the doc’s assessment that I’m unable to work until September.

#SkinwalkerRanch. The issue they can’t seem to wrap their heads around is “refraction”. Someone needs to deliver to them a tall glass half filled with water, and drop a pencil in it.

Notes on fishy Docuseries : Okay so this is specifically re things in a series the general public has problems discerning. It’s all well and good when investigative resources and production team clearly involve some hefty sums and significant investment in time. It may even take half a season to get to that first train wreck but inevitably it will be there -a need for drama. At about the same time you’ll see the first obvious #Science fail and the call back to #SkinwalkerRanch is just #Bonanza

I don’t believe in guilty pleasures but I have a stupid pleasure: The Secret of #SkinwalkerRanch. This show is so dumb. These dingdongs attempt to do “science” and gather “data” by shooting cub scout #rockets into the air and drilling into the mesa. They see lots blurry blobs in the sky and they have lots of equipment malfunctions.

I came up with a drinking game where you take a drink every time somebody says #phenomenon or #anomaly but you couldn’t really play it without killing yourself.

I'm genuinely half-convinced that several of History Channel's socalled UFO documentaries are designed to discredit the scientific study of UAP / UFO. The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch is the leader of the pack. Calling bugs on camera fast moving craft, junk "science," and jumping to wild conclusions based on scant evidence. Go on any message board of debunkers, and this show will be mentioned, guaranteed. If you believe that this is as rigorous as UAP investigation gets, then, yeah, it seems stupid as hell. Because this is entertainment, not science.

I'm surprised by the #SkinwalkerRanch History Channel show. I found the books laughable (dino-beavers!), but the new owners have had no such experiences. Instead, they got scientists to study the ranch, and #UFOs are constantly buzzing over their heads. They have said that they simply happen to have cameras around to document their findings, not make a scripted show. So far, they've found two cloaked objects that bend light, and impenetrable underground tunnels.

The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch is a great show to watch if you’re into watching people launch rockets and review the video later that night and talk about launching more rockets.

Just returned this book to the library; the author is the excitable scientist from the #skinwalkerranch reality show.

It’s a competent SF book but the pacing is slow for the first 2/3 of the book, it owes a lot to Robert Heinlein and Larry Niven, and there are several typos. Surprised Baen Books missed them, frankly.

Last night, watched the #skinwalkerranch season premiere and was gobsmacked to learn that actual scientist Travis was secretly attached to a US govt program investigating UAPs, but couldn’t talk about it last season.

For a pseudoscience show, it sure delivers in the “didn’t see that coming” department.
