A pesar del anuncio de una política de transparencia histórica, el nuevo sitio web del Departamento de Defensa para Fenómenos Anómalos No Identificados (UAP) ha decepcionado a los usuarios por su escaso material y fallos técnicos (Fuente departamento de Guerra USA).
El lanzamiento del portal oficial para la consulta de archivos sobre OVNIs ha tenido un inicio accidentado. Aunque se presentó como una herramienta definitiva para la apertura de datos gubernamentales, los primeros visitantes se encontraron con una plataforma que ofrece muy poco contenido novedoso. La mayoría de los videos y documentos disponibles ya habían circulado previamente en internet o habían sido filtrados años atrás, lo que ha generado críticas sobre si realmente se trata de una desclasificación significativa o simplemente de una recopilación de archivos conocidos.
Además de la falta de material inédito, la experiencia de usuario se vio empañada por problemas de rendimiento en el sitio, incluyendo enlaces rotos y una interfaz de búsqueda poco eficiente.
