Just north of the famous Salar de Uyuni, Tunupa Volcano is somewhat secluded and sees far fewer visitors. It is beautiful, remote, and offers the best evening one could wish for.

Very strange sunset tonight, I'm not quite sure I've ever seen anything like it. Cloud cover was very complex and layered (remains of the cyclone that caused so much grief in central Europe these days) and there was this patch of intensely vibrant orange surrounded by nearly monochrome additional layers of clouds devoid of colour. And at the sides, an occasional window through all the cloud layers exposing sky's true colours. They say that extreme weather produces some of the most beautiful sunsets and I guess they weren't joking.

FWIW, this is very nearly straight out of camera neutral profile image but I dimmed the lower part for privacy concerns as it showed neighbors across the street in their lit house. Otherwise unprocessed.

Three faces of the same #sunset, at 50, 100 and 600mm, recpectively (might not be uploaded and displayed in that order).

The colours in these images were obtained with a custom RGB tone curve profile in Picture Style Editor. I'm including a screenshot of it. Colours themselves weren't changed (in the profile), albeit the mentioned custom profile is based on "Landscape" one that Canon cameras have built-in and I do find the latter to not be linear about it on the colour wheel. But, the posted photos are, technically, straight out of cam! As meaningful as that is with digital cameras 😜
