I met a tiny #dragon near #YrWydda yesterday.

Long associated with special places, the folklore that accompanies the UK's reptiles has always exalted them as protectors of 'treasure' and various magical places.

We stared at each other for a while and after greeting him in Welsh, he gave me one last glance before scurrying away into a dark crevice to guard some ancient hoard.

made this infographic for some specevo #dragon belonging to some fictional clade that split off from varanoids in the early cretaceous. no wings, because usually in actual mythology, dragons are more like giant snakes, so its a giant lizard.

'Bore da, draig!' 😂 This #ADoorableTuesday, a bit of detail from the old 13th century church doors at Worfield, Salop. Like all good medieval church fixtures they were at one point appropriated by the local farm to use for agricultural purposes before being returned to the church in the modern day! A bit of casual 1770s graffiti top right.
