Severe #MECFS put an end to that. Now I'm focused on entertainment as self-care and being a loyal pet dragon to my wife, Jalan, and father to Dragonlet (grade-schooler).

Oops. We forgot to tell the new sitter about #Dragonlet's imaginary deceased family.
There are apparently a sister and a mother (not Jalan, an "other" mother, and we haven't even read him #Coraline) who died in a cave. In some versions, his father (not sure if that's me or not) led them to the cave.
To be clear, he's never had a sister and only ever the one mother.

Me: "Yeah, but she needed to use Dorothy as a weapon first."

Talking about my older (now mid-20s) child and thinking about #Dragonlet, who we had after onset of my #MECFS.
When first child was 2 or 3, I built--nearly single-handed, mostly with hand tools--a two-level fort for for him in the backyard that stood for years after we moved out of that house.
I strain to hold up a picture book long enough to read it to Dragonlet in bed. I wouldn't change the decision to have another child, but I mourn this.
