It's the last bookend to his gospel/Christian albums -- Slow Train Coming in '79 and Saved in '80. Unlike those albums, this one deals with mostly evangelical stuff and integrating rock 'n roll into religion.
It's on Criterion but you can probably track it down elsewhere too. The whole performance is amazing.
"Ain't No Sunshine" is a song by #BillWithers from his 1971 album #JustAsIAm, produced by #BookerTJones. The record featured musicians #DonaldDuckDunn on bass guitar, #AlJacksonJr on drums and #StephenStills on guitar. String arrangements were done by Booker T. Jones. The song was recorded in Los Angeles, with overdubs in #Memphis by engineer #TerryManning. The song was released as a single in 1971, becoming a breakthrough hit for Withers.

Sipping a little bourbon while dinner digests and listening to "In The Christmas Spirit" by Booker T & the MG's...one of my all time favorite albums this time of year. I'll be listening to that one all through Epiphany... 😉 #Christmas #Weihnachten #Music #Musik #soul #RandB #Stax #BookerTJones #SteveCropper #DonaldDuckDunn #AlJacksonJr
