how do people with solar on a steep roof do maintanence? i was installing a new system and it wasnt getting any solar input .. i had to put on my spiderman hat and somehow spelunk the solar array disconnecting and reconnecting ,, and first fishing out the connectors .. still nothing

finally today i went back and inspected the connectors proper and turns out one of the metal tubes was inset too far.. after reassembling it works WTF kill me ..

my wonderful friend chloe came over for the last 4 days to help put in some concrete feet as a foundation for our first cabin !

then @ashesmonroe helped me to get these beams placed and afterwards we went and got the 6inch / 10ft beams that will be the basic skeleton of the deck.

still mulling over options for how to actually cover the deck , i need to build something like a 2x8 frame above this to put insuation in, but also need to somehow put osb underneath first ..

Guess what will absolutely NEVER be used in this house.. EVER.

so managed to probably make all the mistakes :
- oversanded probably ,, so minute cupping leads to wobbly block surface
- cut from rough cut with a table saw and a planar and i basically could never get a perfectly straight anything also the table saw blade didnt go all the way through initially so had to flip / cut it which introduced more error.
- over cut one side so had to cut everything in a wonky way and not even get 12 blocks ..
-complete fail fuck me.. bahhhhh

this specific entry is some video ashy and i took when we initially got our property in vermont , am planning on compiling all the videos together into a single glitzy glammy video .. well see if i get there, but for now check out the snippets !

so in order for our heating system to not freeze in the winter i had to build a room inside of our basement .. from all recycled materials because we are broke,, this is the result! i am sad i didnt get to have a shot of the framing as that did turn out real good but here it is , there will be one extra wall to close in the back area more to protect it from the elements just a bit extra and we still have to insulate the ceiling somehow !
