Helping @ashesmonroe with some light and shadow projects , I couldn't find a motor suitable for the reciprocating gear design so had to cannibalize an old CNCavhine and make a light clamp for it, won't be as fast but is smooth as hell, always wanted to use CNC for mechanical projects and I do love the control but for designing things that move faster than 100cm/minute I will have to think of some other motor and mechanism ideas .. either way grbl is fun 😊

my wonderful friend chloe came over for the last 4 days to help put in some concrete feet as a foundation for our first cabin !

then @ashesmonroe helped me to get these beams placed and afterwards we went and got the 6inch / 10ft beams that will be the basic skeleton of the deck.

still mulling over options for how to actually cover the deck , i need to build something like a 2x8 frame above this to put insuation in, but also need to somehow put osb underneath first ..

This is our future mushroom growing and research space ! First we have to build essentially a cabin around it , then install solar then we plan to subdivide it into a place to grow things like shitake , lions mane , oyster mushrooms, corticeps and then a science lab in front to study the mushrooma and surrounding nature 🍄‍🟫🍄‍🟫

We took a stab at the davinci bridge, just need to get the other side in and then we can build the boardwalk over it! I still have a long way to go developing my intuition for reciprocal framing!!
